This role will perform all analyses on incoming raw materials, process samples and finished products to ensure Corporate and customer quality specifications.



  • Sampling of material from manufacturing facility 

  • Accurately, and in a timely manner, perform all analyses (instrumental/wet analytical procedures) as directed by laboratory procedures on incoming raw materials, process samples, finished products (and other products as needed).

  • Perform testing using the following methods/instrumentation:  FTNIR, KF Titration systems, Coulometry, Calorimetry and Spectroscopy.

  • Select materials for shipment based on chemical and physical analyses and knowledge of Corporate and customer specifications.  

  • Accurately communicate all test results and inputs data into the SAP system.

  • Communicate routine and non-routine observations, and/or suggestions directed toward improving lab/plant operations to appropriate personnel for disposition in compliance with site quality control.

  • Maintain proper records of laboratory analyses, and perform all supportive lab duties and extra assigned work required to maintain effective and efficient laboratory services

Safety and Health

  • Assist in the implementation of the plant safety policy by maintaining a personal and laboratory safety awareness. Proper use, storage, and disposal of chemical reagents and materials, as well as reporting and/or correcting hazardous situations. Exercising proper use and maintaining cleanliness of control lab equipment and instruments. Attending plant safety meetings, and ensuring that all proper safety precautions are employed in laboratory work to secure a safe and effective workplace. Required to wear appropriate safety & personal protective equipment at all times.


  • Assist in the analysis of effluent grab to ensure that plant emissions to water, air and ground are in compliance with Corporate standards and Governmental regulations. 
  • Monitor and discharge treatment tanks for appropriate effluent parameters.
  • Prepare Persulfate, PAA and Hydrogen Peroxide samples for disposal.


  • Prepare product shipment samples for customers as directed and to prepare product retain samples in order to support process operations, customer specifications, and other customer related requirements.


Food Safety System

  • Ensure all products within the scope of the Food Safety System are tested and released according to the product specifications and test methods


  • Associates degree with a Chemistry background or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience is preferred, but new grads will be considered
  • Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts (days and nights), weekends and holidays as necessary
  • Mathematics, communication, computer and organizational skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate results of routine and nonroutine tests.
