RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct formulation development using various commercial chemicals and in-house developed materials
  • Operate laboratory equipment and instruments to perform laboratory tests according to described procedures for determining the chemical, physical, and thermal characteristics as part of quality control, process control and/or product development
  • Communicate test results to the R&D scientists on a regular basis
  • Perform general lab maintenance (e.g. ordering lab consumables)
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Updating existing work instructions, analytical instructions and laboratory records as required
  • Develop and document new standard/safe operating procedures, risk assessment in alignment with site EHSQ protocols
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma in Chemistry, material science, mechanical engineering, polymer science/engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Basic knowledge and hand-on experience with various instrumentations such as tensile testing, DSC, DMA, TGA, GPC, UV-Vis, IR, titrator, or mechanical mixers. Operation experience of 3D printers and UV curing chambers is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of polymer science and application development is desirable
  • Knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must. Familiarity with other chemistry related software (Scifinder, Chemdraw etc.) is a plus
