RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and enhance long term business relationship with existing customers. This includes good understanding of overall business strategy, organization, value chain and market trends; establish and maintain effective relationship at multiple levels / functions of key accounts; find customer needs and translate into opportunities or mitigate risks for Evonik; manage day-to-day business operation with customers with support from other colleagues (supply chain, production, marketing, etc) to provide satisfactory service to customers. All these are covered in key account plans that are developed by the position holder and updated / reviewed within PL regularly.
  • Actively expand contacts / connections in target markets to find new potential customers.
  • Provide monthly sales forecast based on customer feedback and market information, and update / communicate timely for significant changes. Sales forecast is the basis for supply chain planning to ensure supply to customers while maintaining reasonable level of inventory.
  • Write and share contact reports frequently and timely to communicate customer needs and market information within regional & global teams.
  • Propose ideas for sales contracts with key accounts and conduct negotiation (with support from regional or global BL/PL management when needed) to gain / secure sustainable & profitable business.
  • Closely monitor financial status of customers to manage and minimize risks of receivables.
  • Contribute to development of market strategies of TAA Derivatives by proactively sharing market information, customer needs, competition and new business ideas; responsible for execution of market strategy in China.
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor degree in chemical related disciplines, MBA would be beneficial
  • Minimum 5 years sales background in fine chemicals, with key account management experience 
  • Business acumen, proactive and positive attitude, result driven
  • Self-motivated, willing to travel intensively (up to 50%)
