RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, initiate and lead projects to increase production performance, product quality, safety and cost efficiency at our production sites in Asia Pacific North.
  • Coordination, communication, controlling and reporting of project activities of Process Technology department to customer (as customer coordinator).
  • Support department on development and adoption of novel technologies and competences working closely with the production sites and their plant managers and supervisors as a competence holder / expert in process technology.
  • On site project management and collaboration with the site production manager for diverse process optimization projects (e.g. capacity increase, energy savings, quality improvement, environmental protection, waste water reduction, waste solid and waste gas/off-gas/ VOC treatment, cost).
  • To increase production yield, operation performance, and efficiency.
  • Permanent support and follow-up of different projects at different sites.
  • Working on a global setting and on a collaborative basis.
  • Lead and support of process technology projects.
  • Implementation and technology transfer to/from other sites based on the best practices approach.
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Background in process and/or chemical engineering. 
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience.
  • Data science and environmental technology is a plus.
  • Expertise in reaction and separation technologies, particularly polymerization, membrane separation, distillation, homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, etc.
  • Enable to complete process design of environmental facilities (Wastewater and Off-gas) based on production input and compliance and regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Provide coordination with other disciplines and customers to complete the engineering package.
  • Enable to provide diagnosis or technical support for the existing facilities based on relevant guideline and best practice.
  • Basic knowledge on six sigma (black belt is a plus) and overall equipment effectiveness methodologies.
  • Overall technical understanding of process technology and chemical production processes.
  • Improvisation and coordination, organization skills.
  • English and Chinese required, German is a plus.
