RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsibilities are laboratory testing of product performance characteristics supporting for applications formulation development. Specific activities and task will vary with project priorities but general areas of responsibility will include:
- Product performance testing in coatings and related areas for compatibility, dispersion, rheology, film properties, defoaming, defects, wetting and a multitude of other properties as the projects require
- Development of new testing techniques or adaption of customer methodologies to evaluate product performance within specific projects
- Data management and reporting of results
- Coordination with external testing and analytical services
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor’s degree in chemistry is preferred.
- Prior experiences in OEM coating manufacturer (e.g. automotive coatings), and having good coating spray skills (air spray and airless spray) will be a big plus.
- Prior work experience in a laboratory environment is highly desirable.
- Candidate must have a good safety record and be capable of working with multiple projects and colleagues within the technical organization.
- Computer skills including MS Office, Excel, and data acquisition basics are required.
