RESPONSIBILITIES

The Marketing Manager – Release Coatings position is an integral part of Evonik’s release coating team and supports the region in achieving its goals within North, South and Central America.  This role acts as the primary interface with the sales force providing them with support and direction.  The role also is responsible for defining the regional strategy in concert with the commercial management, technical service and research and development teams.

 

•    Responsible for the implementation of marketing plans and regional strategies in the North, Central, and South American region. Provides key input for creation of the global marketing strategy. Assist the regional manager with establishment of regional objectives, i.e. sales targets, price and cost goals, etc., that are consistent with the global strategy.  
•    Manage the promotion of Evonik’s release coatings in the region including the creation of sales collateral, advertising and trade shows.  The position is also responsible for managing the promotional budget.
•    Conduct market research and provide input for strategy creation, new product opportunities.  Reports quarterly on industry trends and competitive activities; and analyze financial viability of future products by establishing market size, adoption rates, as well as development, and registration costs.
•    Manages new product roll-outs and implements product obsolescence in the region. 
•    Takes the lead in organizing and developing the short and midterm financial forecasts.
 

 

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this position has at least three years of commercial experience in the pressure sensitive or more broadly the converting markets and has; 
•    B.S. degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry or Engineering
•    Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.  The ability to work in teams.  Strong computer application skills.
•    Ability to travel twenty-five percent of the time. Most travel is domestic, but the position requires occasional overseas travel. 

•    Ideally 4-5 years of sales & marketing of technical products to industrial markets. Relevant experience in adhesive or label or paper or flim or silicone or  release coating markets or related industry.
