  • Safety – Participate in corporate and site safety programs. This includes attending safety meetings, completing training, performing observations and conducting inspections.
  • Emergency Response –Complete initial and refresher training as required and take the actions necessary to control and mitigate emergency situations.
  • Facility Operation – Apply technical knowledge and training to safely and efficiently operate facility equipment according to the production schedule and operating procedures. Provide day-to-day support for on-stream, production, quality and reliability targets. Develop proficiency in all areas of plant operation including control board, field and packaging roles. Daily duties include chemical handling, DCS interaction, batch recipe management, loading and unloading railcars/trailers, reworking off-spec product and packaging of final product.
  • Analytical – Conduct routine sampling and perform testing on in-process samples as required to ensure operating units are meeting targets for product quality, yield and environmental performance. This includes collection and analysis of samples, reporting and evaluation of results, and data entry into the appropriate paper or electronic format.
  • Maintenance Support – Write work requests, perform light maintenance activities and support maintenance and I&E technicians in the performance of their duties. This may include changing small valves, replacing gaskets, removing blinds, changing filters, field gauge replacement, preventative maintenance tasks and calibrations.
  • Quality Assurance - Adhere to and support the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance program at the site. This may include writing/updating procedures, completing checklists and entering data into spreadsheets.
  • Computer Technology – Make use of hardware and software packages effectively to enhance productivity. This includes DCS, SAP, LIMS, electronic forms and manuals, and SQC software.
  • Planning/Organizing - Structure work activities to maximize efficiency, prioritize effectively and establish/follow action plans.
  • Problem Solving/Prevention - Recognize existing or potential problems and implement measures to eliminate or reduce their impact. Provide troubleshooting expertise as appropriate.
  • Hazmat Technician Training and Certification will be required for all personnel on the packaging and operations team.


  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ years of Process Operating experience
  • Process Technology certificate or 1 year plant operations experience is required.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Proficiency with office computer software packages. SAP proficiency a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Climb ladders/steps
  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Meet call-in requirements as needed.
  • Perform elevated work.
  • Work in all weather conditions.
