Summary

Overall responsibility for Americas Region P&L for the Molding Compounds Product Line.  This includes marketing strategy development, pricing and contracts, profit maximization, sales budgeting and forecasting, business development, product development, product quality and technical service.  It also includes direct supervision of the global Product Group Medical, which has the centers of business and technical competences located in the US. The businesses generates sales in excess of $110 million annually in Americas and requires significant coordination and alignment with the global PL leaders, regional SCM & Business Services Director, and regional Manufacturing Director.  Wide discretion is utilized in determining overall direction and policy of the product line in the region.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement and manage the strategic goals for the PL in the region, in alignment with the global PL and regional Methacrylates BL strategies.  Ensure all Americas business program goals and objectives critical to the success of the PL are met.  Meet sales, budget, profitability and related KPI’s.
  • Direct, motivate and develop staff in the region to help drive business strategy.  Optimize organization size and structure to maximize performance as the business changes and grows.  Develop and implement talent development and succession planning for the PL in the region.
  • Oversee all critical contract negotiations affecting the region Americas
  • Identify new markets and opportunities to increase the PL’s high margin specialty products business.  Maintain and enhance value and position of the business in key base markets.
  • Identify and assess future/long-term strategic business opportunities for the business, including acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
  • Participate in the Methacrylates BL Regional Management Team.
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree is required in engineering, chemistry, business or related field.  MBA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a broad range of areas including sales, marketing, business development.
  • Strong financial background and experience analyzing and delivering results.

  • Experience operating in a global organization.  Dotted line reporting relationship to Molding Compounds PL Head in Germany

  • Prior P&L experience is preferred.

  • Strong Leadership Skills

  • Demonstrated success developing and enabling direct reports to build a high performing organization with innovation playing a key role in long term business success.

  • Strong change management skills

  • Proven ability to interact with the most senior level contacts of major external organizations.

  • Ability to develop an organization that can move quickly to take advantage of new opportunities and strategies in line with the global BL.

  • Ability to manage remotely.
