Role Summary

The key responsibility of the Supply Chain Manager Methacrylate Resins (MR) Region Americas is to ensure that the regional supply chain of the product line Methacrylate Resins is managed efficiently and in an excellent manner according to the global business strategy requirements. The position develops, implements and continuously reviews the regional supply chain strategies for all product groups within the product line Methacrylate Resins in Region Americas. The Supply Chain Manager holistically manages the supply chain of the product line Methacrylate Resins in the region Americas from material supply from Europe or Asia through product distribution including import and export activities. The position owns the S&OP process and manages the planning, execution and control of the supply chain.  This position will also manage the supply chain for the product line Bulk Monomer products in the region Americas supplied from Europe and Asia.  This includes, Methacrylamides, Butyl Methacrylates, and Hydroxyesters. The position leads the continuous improvement process in the supply chain area and drives the organization towards process excellence in all steps of the supply chain end-to-end process.

The position is responsible for ensuring that the regional supply chain of product line Methacrylate Resins has the right tools & systems in place which guarantee a high level of integration between the different platforms & systems and which provide the base for efficient automation & digitalization of the end-to-end process. The position is also responsible for performance management (KPI) of the supply chain processes based on the Methacrylate Resins business & supply chain strategy
 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs, implements and regularly re-adjusts the supply chain strategies for all product groups within product line Methacrylate Resins in Region Americas.
  • Owns the key supply chain end-to-end process, for example translates sales forecast to demand plan, monitors and expedites orders to respond to changes in the plan. Is responsible for design and continuous improvement of the process with a goal that leads to process excellence.
  • Owns the S&OP process for product line Methacrylate Resins in Americas and is responsible that the MR network in the region and all related imports & exports activities are managed effectively, so that all demands are fulfilled according to the SC strategy. 
  • Leads and manages the demand planning process in close cooperation with regional MR sales & marketing and global supply chain functions with regards to imports and exports. 
  • Manages the deployment and distribution planning of MR in the region and needs to direct warehouse operations and logistic functions.
  • Manages the inventory effectively according to the SC strategy targets and ensures that aging inventory is minimal by coordinating sales and disposition options. When necessary coordinate write downs.
  • Manages the regional supply chain IT infrastructure of tools and systems to ensure a suitable environment for process excellence.
  • Leads and coordinates the activities for seamless integration of regional systems along the supply chain end-to-end process with the target to achieve optimal level of automation & digitalization.
  • Owns the master data management and leads in regional & global cross-functional cooperation the supply chain organization towards evergreen concept of master data.
  • Coordinates the regional performance management of supply chain including harmonization of KPI for product line Methacrylate Resins. Manages reporting & dashboard communication for efficient & transparent performance management.
  • Implementing digitalization initiatives & projects to achieve process excellence and a high level of intelligent process automation in the regional supply chain processes
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering / supply chain management/Business or related discipline required, MBA preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in the areas of: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Process Management
  • Knowledge required of supply chain & logistics as well as customer service and business processes. Experience in statistical forecasting, business support systems such as SAP, CRM and production scheduling tools preferred. Knowledge and proven experience required in developing and optimizing business processes (business process engineering).
  • Previous experience in project management.
  • Strong Leadership skills are required to lead cross-functional and cross-regional teams to successfully define & deliver projects in accordance with established budgets, work-plans, quality standards, and timeframes.
  • Excellent skills in business process engineering, developing the supply chain processes towards operational excellence and a high level of automation.
  • Strong analytical skillset required together with competence in problem solving, planning and decision making.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to other facilities up to 25%
