Strategic and operational/commercial responsibility for Regional Methacyrlate Resins Business in the Americas Region, including the product groups Roadmarking & Flooring as well as PCI / Heat Sealing Beads. Responsible for achieving annual Sales Budget and ensuring best cost/performance and profitability. Develops and implements plans to grow sales and profitability in addition to expected market growth. Responsible for identifying market needs and business opportunities and ensure proper resource management for all product groups.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Responsible for the financial performance of the Americas business of the Methacrylate Resins Product Line

o    Responsible for establishing and meeting the CM1 (global) and EBITDA budget of the business

o    Ensure optimal sales, gross margins and overall profitability

o    Responsible for Budget development, resource planning and team target setting

o    Develop/Monitor main commercial KPI’s of all product groups to ensure budget achievement and drive and steer changes of resources in a timely manner, if necessary.

o    Frequently Plan & Forecast together with SCM and Sales Representatives

o    Establish, maintain and enhance contact with key customers and obtain input on projected usage as well as future product requirements, approach & develop new customers

·         Develop/implement business strategies & tactics for the North, Central & South American market to develop, achieve and sustain business at required profitability levels within global product group strategies.

o    PL/PG Strategy: based on global inputs derive a regional business strategy for AMERCIAS for the PL and both PGs

o    Perform Market and Competitive Intelligence tasks with all team members in cooperation with global Marketing functions of the PGs

o    Define and execute adequate pricing strategies

o    Review/Adjust business models in line with overall goals and strategies efficient Marketing mix for all product groups along the lines of a Standard as well as a Specialty business

o    Identify, evaluate and drive innovation opportunities

·         Direct customer & account management for Protective Coatings & Inks / Heat Sealing Beads in USA and Canada (create increased number of directs accounts (PCI/HS) in order to generate immediate grip on market needs and industry trends) 

 

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS or master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and/or Marketing with 10+ years experience in Sales & Marketing with strong success record.  
  • A strong chemical/technical background, proven Leadership experience.
  • Experienced in strategy development for innovative industries for >5 years.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • German, Spanish or Portuguese skills is a plus or track record of leadership in cross-cultural/cross-functional teams.
