Purpose of the position:

  • As part of the Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) Program, Evonik is bringing various digital products to market, helping poultry farmers, and integrators optimizing their operations and act in the interest of increasing economic output.
  • One of these products is Porphyrio®, cloud-based data management software for the poultry industry, including predictive early warning and long-term performance prediction.
  • The Product expert is the link between the core Porphyrio® team in Belgium and our customers, supporting your sales colleagues. Guide, steer and carry out the complete client trajectory for connection to Porphyrio®.
  • Besides this role also contributes actively to the commercialization of Porphyrio®, by supporting the Sales Managers to achieve success with the Porphyrio® system.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to manage the complete on boarding process of customers on the Porphyrio® system.
  • To collect and structure the organizational information of the customer (departments, farms, houses, etc.) to prepare the customer-specific dashboard, including automatic data collection protocols.
  • Need to collaborate with commercial and technical colleagues of PLF and Animal Nutrition, to make sure having the correct customer information.
  • Will be the first point of contact for the customer.
  • After launch, to provide customer training and in a later stage to interact with customers to support questions.
  • To collect customer feedback as an input for potential new developments.
  • To provide training to the colleagues in the region on the Porphyrio® product.

Requirements of the position:
Education, Certification and / or relevant experience required

  • Minimum with Bachelor’s degree in BioInformatics / BioStatistics /Animal Science or equal by experience.
  • Knowledge of concepts such as FTP, SFTP, Remote desktop, webservice, xml, json, databases (sql) would be considered as an added advantage to the role.


Additional skills and abilities required for this position

  • Strong project manager with eye for detail and focused on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong communicator, empathic & customer focused, ready to help solving problems of our customers worldwide
  • Commercially skilled, with knowledge of the livestock sector.
  • Handling & processing of data.
  • Excellent communication skills in both speaking and writing.
