Purpose of the position

  • This position will support the growth of the CAD business in India by providing the professional technical service to customers in Printing Inks industry, as well as working in global project teams.
  • Also leading innovation project to developing commercially viable New Products to meet unmet market and customer needs for India and also globally.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage with printing ink customers by phone call, online meetings, face to face discussions to understand customer’s on-going project, problem etc. in order to help them with our technical solution.
  • Introduce new product by providing presentation and seminar at customers and conference as well as via other platforms.
  • Contribute to and possibly lead product development projects designed to meet unmet needs within the Inks markets, closely work with global R&D team, performing all needed laboratory study.
  • Continually develop a broad understanding of market and additive performance requirements, testing methods, needed functionalities, and the performance of the company’s and competitors’ additives in Inks applications in order to identify gaps that could be filled by future New Products.
  • Complete all required safety training, conduct hazards reviews and managements of change, create and review safe work practices, and ensure that the hazards and regulatory compliances of all raw materials worked with and New Products developed are understood and communicated.
 

Requirements of the position:
Education, Certification and / or relevant experience required

  • University degree in chemistry (organic, polymer chemistry)
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in Printing Inks (liquid inks) or related raw material industry as Product development or Technical service.

 

Additional skills and abilities required for this position

  • Experience in polymer chemistry, surface chemistry.
  • Outstanding practical laboratory skills and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment, as well as to ensuring that Environmental, Health & Safety standards are met, are a necessity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to write and present technical papers and talks directed to both technical and non-technical audiences is needed.
  • The ability to use scientific principles to describe and understand the results of applications testing and apply the results in project planning and execution is required.
  • A desire to collaborate with colleagues globally by sharing information with and actively listening to them is required.
  • Willingness to travel.
