This position is part of a multi-skilled team working in the Central Maintenance performing a variety of Capital and Maintenance work, to promote maximum up-time.  In this position you will help support the strengthening of the collaboration between maintenance, reliability, automation, plant and process engineering, central stores, and operations.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Primary responsibilities and accountabilities of the job:
●    Perform all duties in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies (e.g., Quality, Safety, Environmental).
●    Ability to focus on Continuous Improvement.

Maintenance Work:
●    Troubleshoot problems on existing instrumentation/lab equipment and make repairs/commendations for longevity.
●    Perform Preventative Maintenance on existing equipment to keep it in compliance.
●    Document work performed in SAP, including history notes and time charged to all work orders and PM’s.
●    Execute weekly work schedule and adjust to reactive requests as needed.    
Improvement Work:
●    Provide job knowledge and skills to support process improvement and Capital projects.  
●    Work with a variety of individuals, such as engineers, other craftspeople, automation and other resources on process upgrades and equipment changes.
●    Support IQ/OQ and startup of new equipment.
●    Provide input to engineering on design, installation, and maintenance of new equipment.  
●    Make appropriate suggestions for PM procedure revisions

Safety:  
●    Actively participate in safety initiatives.
●    Identify improvement opportunities.
●    Follow all site and departmental safety policies and procedures. 
●    Participate in crew safety meetings.

Quality and Compliance:
Each individual is responsible to meet fundamental cGMP requirements relating to their conduct and work practices.
This includes but is not limited to the following:
●    Adherence to all written instructions.
●    Timely reporting of all deviations to supervision.
●    Training on each activity is completed and current and that each employee understands their assigned duties.
●    Strict documentation practices are followed to ensure that all steps of the operation are appropriately documented.
●    Ensure to maintain the work area in a state of cleanliness and sanitation through good housekeeping practices and applying good personal health practices.
●    Ensure the security and safety of the product through the reporting of any potential risk to supervision immediately.
●    Ensure the safety of the personnel and product by wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) according to the operation being executed.
●    Each individual should report any action that they believe could impact the quality of any product immediately to supervision.
●    Follow all GMP/CDI Guidelines.
●    Maintain 100% current on Individual Training Plan.
●    Accurately document and update SAP/PM module system daily.
 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Required:
●    Associates Degree in Electronics Technology or Applicable Technical training or Military experience required 
●    Ability to read and use manufacturer’s service manuals required
●    Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
●    Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse customer base and other crafts
●    Have a strong mechanical aptitude
●    Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
●    Excellent computer skills to utilize, Word, Excel, etc.
●    SAP Experience preferred but not required 
●    Solid planning, organizing, and documentation skills
●    Must have mindset to work safely

Preferred:
●    At least 1 year of Chemical Manufacturing Experience, preferred 
●    At least 2 years of Industrial Instrumentation experience, preferred 
●    Thorough knowledge and experience with both old and new instrumentation technologies.
●    Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
●    Previous experience on design and installation of instrumentation


Physical Requirements:
●    May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
●    Able to ascend/descend stairs and ladders
●    May be required to enter confined space
●    May be required to work in a high noise/high temperature environment
●    May be required to work outside in an uncontrolled environment
●    May be required to operate motorized vehicles
●    Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
●    Ability to operate powered equipment
