Perform all operations necessary to support Incineration Services in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.


When will you work? 12-hour shifts – 3 days on and off, days or nights.Will have a months heads up whether on days or nights.  



  • Summarize observations and activities both verbally and in writing when appropriate.
  • Learn and execute basic job operations and follows all company policies while doing so.
  • Learn and utilize all forms, records, and reports to assure compliance with internal and external requirements. Learn relevant policies and procedures and applies them to the job.
  • Learn safety principles including items such as safe work permits, lockout tagout, and thermal stress.
  • Learn basic departmental function and deliverables. Demonstrate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and working with fractions. Work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to utilize basic trouble shooting and critical thinking skills.
  • Accept and support decisions and feedback from others including the ability to build on and learn from these contributions.
  • Execute job responsibilities consistently.

  • Enthusiastic about self-development and learning. Understand and follow the departmental expectations regarding attendance, accountability and communication with supervision
  • Complete all training prior to execution of activity.
  • Read, understand, and follow all Safety and Environmental guidance
  • Familiarization and compliance with Regulatory
  • Requirements such as but not limited to OSHA (24 Hour HAZWOPER), RCRA, EPA, IDEM, Title V, and DOT. Learn and demonstrate proficiency in operating fork trucks and forklifts including a narrow isle lift and pallet jacks.
  • Learn and demonstrate proficiency in yard tractor operations.
  • Learn and demonstrate proficiency in aerial work platforms.
  • Learn solid waste warehousing operations including bar code scanners and databases, and conveyor system operations. This ranges from receiving, storage, and destruction of the waste.
  • Complete training and become competent on Tl 48 warehouse operation and Container Handling
  • Management System (CHMS) system, as well as DeltaV system.


  • Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including supplied air respirator.
  • Able to lift up to 25 kg without assistance on a routine basis.
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, and platforms for equipment at various elevations.
  • May be required to enter confined space for internal inspection. Able to work in a high noise/high temperature environment.

Working Conditions

  • Hazardous conditions involving the use of acids, caustics, allergens, and other hazardous chemicals.
  • Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, days, and nights.
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Prior chemical manufacturing experience is preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Applicant must have passed or be able to pass the WorkKeys assessment for a Tippecanoe Labs Chemical Operator position (contact Indiana Workforce Development REACH center for information about WorkKeys)
