PURPOSE OF POSITION
Ensure the smooth operation of the global support for IT Processes.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the run activities of Evonik’s IT Service Management solutions specifically Micro Focus SMAX and SAP Solution Manager.
  • Provide on-going 2nd level support for the ITSM Processes (incident management, service requests, knowledge management, problem management, change management and ITSM reporting) as well as applications in the area of IT governance, risk and compliance in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Identify areas with high support demand caused for example by process inefficiencies or insufficient training or testing and propose ideas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the IT Processes Build team and other organizational units within Global IT to ensure a smooth transition of new IT products to run.
  • Take care of Knowledge Management within the team.
  • Share on a monthly basis the achievements and next steps with the management team.
  • Provide ad hoc training to users of Evonik’s IT Service Management solutions.
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid understanding of IT Service Management processes and best practices.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience supporting IT Service Management processes preferably utilizing SAP Solution Manager and/or Micro Focus SMAX.
  • Broad understanding of general IT including computer hardware, LAN/WAN, collaboration and personal productivity software (Microsoft suite) and SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Willing to work on rotation shifts (24/5), ROTA changes on monthly basis.
  • University degree in the field IT, Business, Engineering or a comparable education.
  • Service oriented and ability to travel for know-how transfer.
  • Ability to work with a diverse international team with colleagues in Germany, the United States and Singapore.
