The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that the coproducts from the HCN and Methionine production processes are sold and/or transported in an efficient way that allows neither production process to be interrupted due to bottlenecks.  Strategic focus of the position is to ensure maximum value is gained from sales and distribution of agricultural co-products through current sales channels while developing new channels and outlets. Also, to find and execute strategic partnerships in the agricultural chemical industries in order to further enhance the financial position of the business line.



  • Establish and maintain commercial outlets for Agrali and blueSulfate
  • Execution of strategic projects to improve the financial position of the business line.
  • Execution and management of strategic commercial partnerships in the agriculture industry
  • Maximize revenue and contribution margin from Agrali and blueSulfate by developing and managing a marketing, sales, and pricing strategies
  • Manage inventories of coproducts from Methionine and HCN production
  • Conduct both broad and focused market research for coproducts. Analyze business opportunities concerning management of coproducts. This should include price trends, growth potentials, quality, etc.
  • Monitor supply and demand in customers industries. Establish and use channels for gathering information concerning by-products and agricultural markets in general.
  • Negotiate with customers on both technical and commercial issues.  Negotiate and resolve contractual issues.
  • Manage and optimize transportation and other logistic issues as part of ongoing customer care and support and guide negotiations with logistics providers.
  • Ensure an efficient and effective quality management system is maintained.
  • Work with authorities and internal ESHQ departments to make sure that Evonik is continuously in compliance with all laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate activities of Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Supply Chain and Production for coproducts management.


  • Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in sales, marketing, chemistry, or agriculture fields.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of commercial business and/or technical would be an advantage.
  • This position requires high analytical competence, combined with technical knowledge and business skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, members, and individuals.
  • Strong communications skills in writing and proficient in English.
