RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and optimize the spending for repair, inspection, maintenance and technical improvements (Capex) in EOA Singapore plant
  • Direct team to prepare and arrange work orders for all types of maintenance activities
  • Provide leadership, development, motivation, coordination and internal cooperation for groups/ individuals under control in order to maximize safety and efficiency of maintenance processes
  • Plan, realize and improve maintenance concepts according to requirements of plant availability
  • Conduct weak point analysis of the production facilities and process the improvement plan according to the analysis result
  • Plan and review stock level of required spare parts and spare equipment with related departments
  • Prepare preventive maintenance plans and monitor the realization; conduct regular review and optimization base on the result and feedback
  • Plan and organize maintenance and repair works during plant shutdown.
  • Responsible for the management and update of plant documentation
  • Ensure the realization of technical safety measures in the production facilities
  • Ensure the operation of the technical facilities according to environmental requirements
  • Plan technical measures and prepare investment applications with other departments
  • Plan and realize technical improvements and optimization of the production facilities
  • As Contract Administrator monitor, direct and control all facets of primary technical contract with selected vendors to insure continuing cost effective and quality support.
  • Ensure in-house and ad-hoc contractor management follow Evonik guidelines and ensure proper site-work coordination and good contractor performance
  • Establish network within regional maintenance community, build/ maintain detailed knowledge about equipment vendors and maintenance service providers, ensure prequalification of these groups to obtain safe, high quality and cost effective services for the site.
  • Member of Singapore plant management team that models the Singapore plant values: Safe working environment, Ownership, Trust, Open Minded, Integrity, Innovative, and actively participates in the development of the people in the plant.
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in chemical/ mechanical engineering or related disciplines
  • 10 years of plant maintenance experience in chemical/ petrochemical/ manufacturing industry
  • Over 5 years of team lead experience with involvement in technical project planning and execution
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills; task oriented with experience in mentoring and coaching staff
  • Good knowledge of chemical process technology and production
  • Conversant with MS Office and data/ process management tools e.g. SAP
