RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coach, develop, and manage the performance of the logistics and planning personnel
- Align efforts of planning and logistics staff with goals of the plant, goals of the business and goals of the corporation
- Generate month- and year-end performance reports (production volume, late shipments, customer complaints, etc.).
- Communicate all raw material requirements and changes to Procurement Team for purchasing and coordinate with Procurement Team to ensure all required purchases are completed in a timely manner
- Align site logistics capabilities/resources to the business and site (EHSQ) requirements and monitor 3rd party logistics performance; develop external vendor capabilities to meet business and site (EHSQ) requirements with Supply Chain
- Be responsible to maintain ISO Certifications for the Materials department monitor and audit ISO certifications of contracted vendors (raw material and suppliers) develop and maintain appropriate ISO 9001/14001 documentation for planning and inventory control areas
- Support strategic plant improvement (technology upgrades, new equipment etc) and business development initiatives (new raw materials, products, etc) within the framework of the supply and demand chain look for ways to reduce production cost, eliminate bottlenecks, improve capacity, and improve quality
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or Master in Business Administration with strong mechanical engineering background
- At least 5-10 years of experience in chemical supply chain and/or plant maintenance
