RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops, implement and monitors the existing Training and Progression program at the plant
  • Assisting the ESHQ & Training Manager and department heads with implementation of Safety Plans, Training Plans, Safety Meetings, Audits & Inspections, Investigations and other related tasks in the plants.
  • Support proper ESH reporting, Contractor management, Turn-around and Security Management
  • Coordinating Incident reporting to the MOM (Ministry of Manpower, Singapore). Carrying out instructions and other duties related to ESH activities as required by the ESHQ & Training manager including call-in duties.
  • Supporting and assisting incident investigations, dangerous occurrence or occupational disease, monitoring the levels of noise, illumination, heat or hazardous substances and exposure levels of person within the workplace
  • Liaising closely with T&M and BSC departments to manage issues related to facility services provision such as card access, fire safety requirement and contractor management related matters
  • Assisting ESHQ & Training Manager to improve employee perception, participation, recognition of at-risk behaviors and commitment in the Safety and Health Process
  • Assisting in maintaining current safety & health process implementation & evaluation as per Singapore WSH standards
  • Ensuring that emergency response equipment meets safety compliance requirements.
  • Review annual ESH related activities and facilitate all functions of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) including annual employee drills, quarterly CERT training, community drills and Mutual Aid Response.
  • Assisting to develop and approve specifications for all emergency response equipment, PPE and apparatus
  • Assisting/coordinating fire protection activities with SCDF.
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in safety and health or engineering in a chemical background
  • technical level safety professional position at the “Workplace Safety & health Officer level” as per WSH guidelines
  • Fire Safety Manager certificate; can be called-in outside office hours for emergency response.  Experience from SCDF.
  • Extensive knowledge in Singapore Security compliance requirements
  • Have extensive experience and training in coaching, development and organizational change and health with demonstrated experience in all phases
  • Certified Train the Trainer Coach and have experience in leader organizational change, developing work teams will be advantageous
