Support the Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.  Efforts shall be aimed at compliance and fostering continuous improvement at the site to achieve health, safety and a sound environment for employees, customers, and the community.  



  • Compile data for all internal and external reporting requirements, including Segment, Regional and Global EHS&Q requirements, and city, state and federal environmental requirements. Assisting the EHS Manager with completing internal and external reporting. 
  • Implement actions from safety surveys, administer the safety observations program, assist in Incident Reviews and provide IR follow-ups. 
  • Assist, support and participate as an active member of the Emergency Response, spill control, environmental, and waste programs at the Janesville site. Maintain documentation of inspections, and ensure waste training of plant employees.
  • Track the updating of and review of EHS procedures and programs supporting the EHS department. (Document review and updating).
  • Review and maintain training records for compliance-based training, and initiate contact with trainers to come to the Janesville site as needed (e.g. Incident Command, first aid, confined space).This responsibility will be for refresher training for existing employees as well as initial training for new employees. 
  • Maintain industrial hygiene records and arrange for testing of employees (e.g. respiratory protection, hearing protection, annual physical). This responsibility will be for annual exams for existing employees as well as initial exams for new employees.


  • Education/Related Experience:  High School diploma with 5-10 years’ experience, specifically in Safety or Associates/BA with 1-3 years experience 
  • Special Training or Competency:  Strong leadership, communication, organizational and influencing skills. 
  • Equipment/Software Skills:  Proficient in Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point).
