The North Plant Scheduler will create schedules and maintain accuracy for reactor, blending, drumming, repackaging and flaking.  You will work directly with the plant operations team daily to facilitate product flow and adjust for schedule disruptions.  With assistance from Supply Chain, you will provide support for the Demand/Supply Process.  Coordinate information flow between Customer Service/Operations Management, Production Planner and Production Operations.



  • Create and maintain an accurate schedule for reactors, blending, flaking, and packaging processes.
  • Work with logistics coordinator to ensure on-time delivery of critical raw materials.
  • Work with logistics coordinator to ensure on-time delivery of critical raw materials.
  • Schedule advance orders of raw materials based on production levels to ensure availability.
  • Coordinate production and ship dates for customers with Logistics and Customer Service departments.
  • Update orders in SAP as necessary for availability.
  • Participate in the periodic review of production data for long-term production planning.
  • Understand the physical flow of material through the plant to pre-emptively recognize potential schedule disruptions.
  • Lead weekly schedule review for production area.


  • High-school education required, some college or college degree preferred.
  • A minimum of one year working for a chemical plant in some aspect.
  • Experience working with computer systems and programs, including Microsoft Office apps and SAP.
  • Ability to demonstrate basic math skills.
  • Ability to manage time and determine priorities to meet daily/weekly plant requirements.
  • Ability to understand the flow of material through a batch chemical production process.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
  • Ability to communicate needs and concerns clearly and effectively with all contacts inside and outside of the organization.
