RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent Evonik’s Business Line Health Care Exclusive Synthesis services, Drug Delivery services & specialty technologies. Ability to cross sell and connect with clients on Pharma Polymers, Food Ingredients & other segments.
- New account penetration & development. Typically medium to large pharma + other industries (Food Ingredients & Specialty Chemicals) + Key Account Management (as applicable). Expand various business line sales across targeted acounts.
- Independently analyze the accounts, their product portfolios and outsourcing strategies
- Senior level management across multiple areas of expertise
- Identification and reporting of relevant market trends, unmet customer needs or portfolio gaps. Responsible for defining and implementing strategies for growth at individual accounts
REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully completed university degree in chemistry, biotechnology or chemical engineering or associated fields desired
- Typically more than 7 years of experience and track record in new business development, marketing and sales in the CMO area in conjunction with an extensive network to key customers (Top 50)
- Desire a minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial research and development department, program management and/or similar experience with and exposure to chemical research and development, with focus on API, intermediates and fermentation
- Interest in commercial aspects and advanced negotiation experience (lead negotiator)
- Fluent knowledge of written and spoken English
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external business partners
- Involved as active team member on multiple strategic initiatives
- Expertise as evaluating cost models, developing offer tracking sheets & generating complex proposals
- Potential to manage small team as a coach
- Consistent regional travel & regular international travel (as applicable)
