RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implementation and operation of Operational Technology (OT) systems in the Silica plants
  • Design user optimized, highly available OT systems and interfaces to ERP and basic process controlsystems
  • Performing analyses on ecconmic benefits of OT systems
  • Project leader with full responsibility on quality, cost, timeframes and know how protection
  • Interface to the IT/OT departments for the technical and commercial solutions as well as introductionof the new technologies in the OT systems (IIoT plattforms)
  • Design, implementation and support of automation system (DCS, SIS) for Silica sites, Knowledge onbasic process control systems (BPCS) and the interfaces to other systems like PIMS or LIMS
  • Analyses of exististing automation systemes and instrumenation as well as feasibility studies forpossible improvement process
  • Support of the the OT security management system including allphases of the continous improvement process
  • Continuous improvement for systems, training of employess and liase in internal /external workinggroups for OT topics including security
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully completed master's degree in Computer Science, Automation or Control Systems
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in project execution or design in OT or digitalization projects
  • Experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Broad knowledge of process information management systems (PIMS), manufacturing executionsystems (MES), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms, automation system design,production/maintenance management, policies and standards
  • Broad knowledge in OT basic topics like PowerBI, SQL server, SharePoint and cloud services
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge in DCS systems
  • Technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability as well as ability to overcome challenges andidentify opportunities for improvement
