RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a group of project managers / laboratory heads with a focus on training and mentoring to develop experienced project managers 
  • Lead and implement projects to develop and produce active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients and advanced intermediates as well as internal innovation projects.
  • Comprehensive internal and external communication with customers as project manager.
  • Evaluation and development of complex organic-chemical syntheses and production processes in batch and / or continuous mode, leading transfer activities to pilot plant and production
  • Establish and commercialize innovative processes and technologies within the framework of strategic projects   
  • Lead and implement strategic improvement projects within Research, Development & Innovation or Health Care incl. development and monitoring of KPIs
 

REQUIREMENTS

  • PhD in chemistry with focus on organic chemistry
  • Several years of professional experience in the area of chemical process development and  production, ideally in the field of active pharmaceutical ingredients under cGMP
  • Track record in managing projects with budget and team responsibility
  • Experience to lead, instruct, and motivate a working group and a project team.
  • Excellent intercultural team and communication skills; cooperative
  • International experience preferred
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, German language skills are an advantage
