  • Consulting the product lines and other Evonik units in the area of Information Security 
  • Support and consulting within IT projects in terms of Information Security
  • Responsibility for the regular exchange of know-how with the IT Product Owner and Solution Architects of the Product Lines and Delivery Manager of Operations Management
  • Support of M&A projects in the due diligence phase to assess the security level of the IT environment of the seller
  • Development of Information Security measures for the temporary protection of the IT environment of the seller up to the transition to the Evonik standard in M&A projects
  • Support and advice on IT M&A projects up to completion of the transition in questions of Information Security
  • Act as a Delivery Manager for products of the Cyber Security Operation Center department
  • Exchange with other stake holders (Know-How Protection, Data Protection, OT Security)
  • Participation in the creation or updating of IT group standards as well as participation in IT committees


  • Successfully completed degree in computer sciences, business informatics, or comparable training
  • Several years of international professional experience in the field of IT security
  • Excellent experience with products and concepts in the field of IT security
  • An excellent understanding of information security concepts, protocols, industry best practices and strategies
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles as well as proficiency in performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments, and in defining treatment strategies
  • Certification in IT security such as CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or CISSP
  • Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 2700x or the NIST Cyber Security Framework
  • The ability to interact with Evonik personnel and build strong relationships at all levels
  • A strong understanding of the business impact of security tools, technologies and policies
  • Fluent German and English language skills, written and spoken
  • High level of initiative, assertiveness, and a team-oriented way of working as well as willingness to travel nationally / internationally
