To organize, direct, and manage the facility-wide maintenance, reliability, and in-house and outside contracting services for the Garyville plant site This position ensures the availability of safe, responsible, high quality maintenance, reliability, engineering, and contracting services to the operating plants and administrative departments.  Incumbent will promote and maintain the principles of, and responsibilities related to, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and Responsible Care within his/her assigned areas of responsibility and as defined in the Site Management System.



Manage and ensure Maintenance Excellence:

  • Develop and manage workflows for Maintenance and Reliability (M&R).
  • Ensure departments’ personnel adhere to maintenance excellence workflows and systems to maintain efficient operations.
  • Develop and manage KPI’s for site continuous improvement (CIP).
  • Lead/manage root cause failure analyses for problem equipment/systems with focus on prevention/mitigation.
  • Manage site storeroom and maintenance warehouses and supporting systems.
  • Manage all audits (internal and external) for M&R departments.
  • Manage department workloads to ensure that prioritization and execution of duties is optimal.
  • Develop and manage robust KPI and reporting systems.
  • Regulate, manage, and improve Down-Day and Shutdown
  • COGEN system management and reporting.  Develop others across site to build bench strength with COGEN system.


Personnel Development:

  • Provide necessary selection, development, motivation, coordination, and cooperation for groups/individuals under his/her direction/influence in order to build for the future of the individuals and the company.
  • Develop and maintain personnel training and development systems for departments’ personnel.
  • Coordinate disciplinary matters with other department heads to calibrate responses with causes across site.


Financial Management:

  • Develop, manage and maintain departmental operating budgets.
  • Develop and manage systems to track and forecast spending.
  • Manage balance between production, spending and budgets.
  • Regularly report to local, NAFTA, and Global personnel regarding performance.



  • Responsible for promoting an efficient work environment with a key focus on the employee safety and environmental stewardship. 
  • Ensure compliance with company and governmental regulations.


  • BS in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 5+ years’ of experience in related industry
  • 2+ years’ management experience demonstrated
  • Maintenance excellence implementation experience
  • Technically sound, results oriented, decisive, and have good
  • Demonstrated self-starter
  • Willing-to-do attitude
  • Professional Engineering licensure preferred
  • Project Management certification preferred
  • TPM, Six Sigma and other related certifications preferred
