The Segment Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the Electronics Segment strategy for the Active Oxygen’s business in North America including sales, profitability, marketing, key account management, channel management, and market analysis while working within a cross-functional team to understand and develop plans to meet customer needs to generate profitable growth.





  • Develops and implements Electronics Segment strategy consistent with the overall Active Oxygen business strategy for growth to achieve sales revenue and EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) targets.     
  • Expands sales within the NA market and supports growth in other regions through participation in the Global Electronics Industry Team and collaborative interaction with Asia JV partner. 
  • Provide regular internal reporting on segment performance, project and customer developments, market intelligence, and progress against strategic initiatives.
  • Manages sales funnel, develops pricing strategies and maintains pricing structure for segment.
  • Partners with supply chain and manufacturing providing forecasting to ensure reliable demand & supply needs are developed. 
  • Develops volume and revenue for budgets and long-term planning processes; partners with other functions (e.g. supply chain, manufacturing, finance) in budgeting and long-term planning efforts.



  • Manages complete sales cycle to include customer identification and management of sales funnel, assessment of requirements and unmet needs, proposal development, overall customer qualification responsibility, and negotiation and execution of supply contract.    
  • Initiates, establishes and maintains long term, multi-level relationships with key customer accounts to achieve ‘trusted supplier status’
  • Manages renewal contracts with customers. 
  • Develops in depth knowledge of customer history, organizational dynamics and competitive issues and can relate this knowledge back to the organization. 
  • Manages customer activities, expectations and satisfaction with confidence and leadership and can adjust when necessary to address problems or concerns promptly when they arise. 



  • Ongoing market analysis to track and predict trends, identify new opportunities and understand competitor activities. 
  • Works cross-functionally to provide customer feedback regarding future requirements and technology roadmap alignment that keeps our product and service offering ‘Best In Class’
  • Develops product branding, communications, promotions and drives overall segment marketing. 
  • Assists with asset management and resourcing to support the segment.
  • Build on organization breadth and depth of market knowledge - ensure organization is prepared for pending growth and product line evolution.


  • BA/BS Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering degree preferred with a working knowledge of chemistry. Master’s degree / MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry including quality systems; wet chemical experience preferred.  Semiconductor Fab experience preferred. 
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business management, or quality management.  Candidate should also possess a sound knowledge of financial principles.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.  Ability to make effective formal presentations to customers at all levels as well as internal management groups.
  • Strong track record in developing successful long-term customer relationships and ability to manage current key accounts
  • Adaptable thinker able to grasp scientific elements, develop strategic initiatives, manage/troubleshoot challenges, and develop and deliver on customer requirements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Organizational savvy; able to work at all levels of an organization and build internal relationships across functions.
  • Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills; computer literacy; proficiency with MS Office Suite.   
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time
