  • Development and optimization of practical test methods to demonstrate the efficacy of antimicrobial and marine antifouling coatings and paints
  • Microbiological investigation of the antimicrobial effect (mode of action) of different technologies
  • Development and product optimization through complex series test approaches
  • Quality-oriented documentation of the work, structured compilation of determined test and analysis results
  • Task-related evaluation with graphical and/or tabular presentation
  • Creation of clear presentation of results, presenting to internal stakeholders as well as to customers and cooperation partners
  • An innovative work environment and motivated team


  • Master of Science in Microbiology, Biology, Environmental Science or related study fields (graduate studies), alternatively vocational training as Biological-technical assistent/technician with expertise in microbiology and/or hygiene
  • Familiar with microbiological analytical methods such as cultivation, molecular and microscopic methods
  • Knowledge about biotechnological fermentation processes, biocides, preservatives, and their regulation
  • Good English skills, very good communication skills and ability to cooperate with others
  • Quick comprehension, confident appearance, enjoys working in interdisciplinary teams with strong ability to self-organization
  • Familiar with MS Office Suite
  • Ideally experience with agile project management
  • Enjoys working on innovative tasks together with a motivated team
