The Business Manager is responsible for the sales, business management and new business development in the assigned territories (Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos).



  • Responsible for managing the assigned sales territory for the entire range of products (Alkoxides and potassium Derivatives, CYC and TAC/TAICROS) of the Business Line Functional Solutions.
  • Responsible for meeting sales targets in the assigned territory.
  • Translate relevant global/regional BL strategy into country strategy and manage implementation in the assigned territory.
  • Align business direction and trends regionally and advises the principal regarding market strategy.
  • Identify prospects and opportunities, explore new business opportunities, follow up on market trends and customer needs.
  • Understand customer needs, trends and analyzing competitor landscape to establish and execute regional objectives in each market segment.
  • Steer region analysis of market developments and potential.
  • Develop and maintain project pipelines.
  • Work with the regional function, global product line to create and lead customers’ projects.
  • Manage relationships with customers, understand their requirements, provide commercial and technical solutions and trouble shoot, if required.

  • Regularly visit existing and potential customers and respond to their needs, together with Marketing to develop value propositions for individual segments/customers.
  • Develop contacts with local Industry Associations and government bodies to keep track of regulatory issues.
  • Manage local stock sales.
  • Work on Customer Development Plans (CDP) and implement them.


  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical related subjects or Business/Marketing subjects.
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales experience in chemicals, oleochemicals, biodiesel industry, preferably in an MNC environment.  
  • Business acumen with proactive and sales driven attitude.
  • Ambition to drive business to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Innovative thinking to define new business opportunity.
  • Customer focus; market-oriented business mindset.
  • High level of initiative and commitment, self-motivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good verbal and written English.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and regionally.
