·         The function is responsible for continuously updating the Americas market intelligence of BL Crosslinkers, lead or initiate extensive market research, using all available media and is in constant communication with Product Lines (PLs) (Marketing, Sales, Application Technology). This activity focuses on existing markets, applications, customers and regions as well as potential future sales opportunities to lay foundation for SMP process and the strategy development of the BL Crosslinkers.  In cross-departmental discussions, project-related objectives are defined and subsequently executed independently.

·         The function will also be the coordinator of ECA marketing intelligence globally (competitive intelligence, market trends, technology trend, etc.)

·         The function also significantly supports the innovation potential of the PLs and the BD in screening for new applications and additions to the product portfolio.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Define and build market intelligence data base for global ECA

o   Continuously coordinate PL ECA global market intelligence

·         Observing and analyzing the market situation and development as well as the competition. Developing medium to long-term market assessments as a basis for strategic alignment using relevant sources of information and systems worldwide. Observing, documenting and obtaining information regarding all business-relevant parameters such as customer and competitive activities, market trends etc.

o   Activities in details: Research and analyze Market Size, Market Share, Market Segments, Economic & Regulatory Drivers, Applications & Technologies Products / Systems / Services, Channels to Market, Industry Trends, Competitors, SWOT Analysis, etc.

·         Supports the management team in creating presentations by requirement, but also individually responsible for the continuously, structured documentation of market information

·         Consolidate individual reports of functions and regions as well as generate monthly or quarterly reports of BL

o   Creates monthly regional market update for Crosslinkers Americas

o   Creates quarterly market update for Global ECA

·         Creating opportunity/market potential analysis for new products, applications, systems, markets and deriving appropriate measures

·         Actively support the SMP process, the strategy development and its presentation of the BL Crosslinkers

·         Management of internal and external information sources and market research companies.

o   Processing and disseminating business-relevant information into the organization.

o   Be actively involved in the coordination of important internal and, if necessary, external meetings and consultant selection etc.         

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • This position expected to have Bachelor’s in Chemistry or relevant technical field.
  • This position requires 2-3 years’ experience in a thermoset field with experience in business management or chemical sales or marketing.
  • Past experience working with business functions (e.g. sales, marketing, finance) within a company and/or customers preferred.
  • Basic data modeling and fundamental core database concepts preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.  Expected to have experience working in a multi-cultural environment and possess strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational, analytical & problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken is required.
  • Proficient computer skills – Excel, Power Point, Dashboard and Report Development skills
